Choose your membership
THEN offers membership at the individual, joint, affiliate, and student levels, as well as affiliation memberships for organizations.
Regular Member
$35 per year
Any person who is engaged in archaeology, anthropology, history, formal and informal education, architecture, folklore, museology, interpretation, art history, or public outreach about cultural heritage may become a Regular Member. Regular Members are entitled to full benefits including:
- Access to the public and members-only area of the website
- Voting rights
- Eligibility to run for Executive Board positions
Regular Member Life
$750 one time payment
Any person qualified for an annual Regular Membership may join THEN as a Life Member. Regular Members are entitled to full benefits including:
- Access to the public and members-only area of the website
- Voting rights
- Eligibility to run for Executive Board positions
Student Member
$20 per year
Any person enrolled at an educational institution and pursuing a degree (Associate or higher) in a field of study related to some aspect of heritage education is eligible to become a Student Member. Proof of enrollment required. Student Members are entitled to full benefits including:
- Access to the public and “members only” area of the website
- Voting rights
- Eligibility for appointment to the Student Liaison Board position
Joint Member
$20 per year
A Regular Member’s spouse who supports the objectives of THEN is eligible to become a Joint Member.
Joint members and their spouses are eligible to receive one copy of all THEN member benefit products, which is sent to the Regular Member, except for election material, which is sent to both.
Affiliated Organization
$175 per year
Any organization who supports the objectives of THEN may become an Affiliated Organization. Affiliated Organization membership provides up to five individuals within an organization access of individual members. Affiliated Organization members:
- May access the “members only” area of the website
- Individuals within Affiliated Organizations are not eligible for election and may not vote in elections
