Recently, THEN Board member Joe Watkins was invited to write an op-ed piece about the proposed changes to Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act for Live Science. In this op-ed piece, Joe draws attention to the fact that the revised regulations will remove protection from 95% of the nation’s heritage places. Live Science is a popular science website with the goal of making “the wonders of science and the world around us relevant, useful and interesting to everyone by informing and entertaining our readers.” We are delighted that Live Science removed the paywall, making Joe’s article accessible to all.
