The Annotated Bibliography is a searchable database of heritage education references for professionals as well as a listing of resources for educators and the general public. The Annotated Bibliography contains books, journals, magazines, newsletters, classroom materials, videos, blogs, and websites.
While accessible and usable by members and nonmembers, only members of THEN may contribute to the Annotated Bibliography. This article describes a 1997 five-day pilot workshop developed by the Subcommittee on Native American Education. The authors explain that the workshop, "Archaeology for Native American Educators: Building Curriculum, Building Bridges," was intended to help Native American educators develop curricula based on archaeology that could be used to teach various skills to Native American children in grades K-12. The authors state that the goal at the time was to extend these workshops to other areas of the country in an annual series of workshops.
