The Annotated Bibliography is a searchable database of heritage education references for professionals as well as a listing of resources for educators and the general public. The Annotated Bibliography contains books, journals, magazines, newsletters, classroom materials, videos, blogs, and websites.
While accessible and usable by members and nonmembers, only members of THEN may contribute to the Annotated Bibliography. People, Place, and Time is an educational kit that was created as part of a project titled "Modern Rivers, Ancient Times," through a grant from the U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Reclamation. The kit contains a teacher's guide, a "floor map," video, replica artifacts, and the basic materials needed to teach the lessons. The teacher's guide, the "Field Director's Notebook" contains two units of study, Cultural Landscape and CRM Archaeology. The first unit takes student through the process of creating a "Hohokam" village and understanding basic concepts of culture, tool making, and subsistance. The second unit takes students through the process of creating a CRM firm, bidding on a request for propssals, "excavating" a site, analysing the results, and completing the final report. The kit was distributed through teachers' workshops and intended to be available in every school district within the state of Arizona. Additional kits were available from the Huhugam Heritage Center.

The article focuses on an analysis of primary and secondary aged school children's written answers during a public archaeology program at the Fern Avenue Site. The study showed that children understand that archaeology involves excavation and investigating the past, but did not know specific knowledge of Australian archaeology or archaeological fields of study.
