The Annotated Bibliography is a searchable database of heritage education references for professionals as well as a listing of resources for educators and the general public. The Annotated Bibliography contains books, journals, magazines, newsletters, classroom materials, videos, blogs, and websites.
While accessible and usable by members and nonmembers, only members of THEN may contribute to the Annotated Bibliography. This article discusses the change in museums and programs to include minorities rather than treat them as distractions, and create an interactive atmosphere. The author gives the example of the Heritage Museum in New York, a children's museum that was designed with the education of children in mind. He describes the museum as "an open classroom," and discusses the roles of and benefits to anthropologists, minorities, and the museum professionals in this new type of museum.

In this article the authors describe their journey to create a public television documentary, titled 'Searching for the Great Hopewell Road.' Litfin and Hawkins explain that the documentary focuses on the case study of a possible road built by the Hopewell people in the Ohio Valley in order to show the differences and similarities in the examination of the past by archaeologists and Native Americans. While public education was the initial impetus for the project, the article details other outcomes as well, particularly the successful collaboration with Native American leaders.
